Driver's footwell
11 May 2002 by Kerry
tiger The driver's side footwell is even more fiddly than the passenger side, because you have to fit it round the steering column bracket. To make matters worse, the supplied panel isn't actually big enough (looking at other people's build diaries, everyone seems to have this problem).

In common with most people, I fitted the panel sideways, then used the bit cut off the end to fill in the gap at the top. The offcut isn't quite big enough to do the whole width, so I used another scrap piece to do the small section outside the steering column bracket.

At least this time I anticipated the triangular hole problem, and didn't cut so much off the engine bay finishing panel.
