This is the driver's side floor panel clamped to the (upside down) chassis ready for marking out. As well as marking where the panel needed trimming, I also scribed along both sides of all the chassis tubes underneath, so I'd know where to drill the holes for the rivets.
I decided to drill all the holes in the panel first, then clamp it to the chassis and drill through, rather than attempt to drill through both pieces in one go.
The panels were only slightly oversize in a couple of places, so I trimmed them down with an air-powered nibbler, which is much more pleasant than tin snips. It's worth mentioning that the two panels aren't exactly the same size, so make sure you don't cut down the wider driver's side panel to fit the narrower passenger side!
