Front suspension (trial fit)
4 April 2004 by Kerry
tiger The front suspension arms and steering rack need to be fitted in order to work out where to cut the holes in the side panels, but as I'm intending to sell the kit in its current state, I've temporarily attached the hubs and springs too, so the chassis is easier to move. The nuts and bolts are all just finger-tight at the moment.

As with the rear, I fitted new wheel bearings to the front hubs. I also bought new lower arms, and replaced all the standard bushes with Polyflex ones, which should improve the handling.

The front wheels are ridiculously toed out at the moment, because the track rods need to be shortened. This is specified in the build manual, but I wanted to be absolutely sure the supplied rack needed shortening before attacking it with a hacksaw!
