Zorro is a black and white, 'Felix style' cat, who we acquired in October 2000, after he turned up as a kitten (probably about four or five months old) at the house of a teacher at the school where Jane works. They would have kept him, but he was upsetting their three cats, so we offered to give him a home. We picked his name because he looks like he's wearing a mask, and has a Z-shaped mark on the top of his head.
He's very friendly and confident, and wasn't at all concerned about being plonked into a house with three bigger cats. Since we moved to our current house he's become very territorial, and for some reason has taken a particular dislike to 'The White Cat' who regularly visits the garden. Whenever he sees it, he fluffs himself up to double his normal size and makes a strange wailing noise until he's scared it off.
